The Manjusha Collection designed by Joey Chawla is handcrafted in Jaipur, India by skilled artisans using new and traditional techniques passed down for generations. The collection recreates high end traditional designs and presents a contemporary collection appropriate for any occasion.

The metal used is sterling silver with one-micron 22kt gold plating. Sometimes rhodium plating is applied for a dark grey look. A matte finish is employed so that the gold is not too shiny but still bright enough to showcase the stones.  Faceted cabochon and rough gemstones are used depending on what is available in the market and the season for which the jewelry is designed.  The gemstones are not all calibrated.  Asymmetrical organic shapes are sometimes used. Some of the designs are cast others are fabricated.  Gemstones used include aquamarine, blue topaz, rose quartz, chalcedony, labradorite, onyx, peridot, garnet, lapis, citrine, iolite, hessonite garnet, carnelian, turquoise, pearls, quartz, pyrite, white sapphire.   In addition, tourmaline, ruby, emerald, diamonds and opals are sometimes featured.

At Manjusha Jewels, we believe in ethical and sustainable practices and take great care to ensure that our products are made with the highest quality materials and techniques that respect the environment and the people who make them.  Each piece of jewelry is crafted with love and passion.  We are proud to support the local community by providing fair wages and safe working conditions.

Because the jewelry is silver, we recommend that it be kept in a plastic zip lock bag for storage, away from moisture and air.  Any good quality liquid silver jewelry cleaner can be used to remove mild tarnish.
